The PhD work will be done at the European Centre for Virtual Reality and at the University of Brest, under the supervision of Drs Mathieu Paquier and Vincent Koehl.

A tentative deadline for the 127th AES Convention Recording Competition, held in New York City, has been tentatively set for September 15, 2009.

The recording competition winners from the 126th Convention in Munich have been announced.

It is our pleasure to announce that the new SDA Europe and International Region Vice-Chair is Veit Winkler from the University of Arts/Technical University Graz. After reviewing forty nominated manuscripts, the AES 126th Convention Student Paper Awards Coordinator Rob Maher and Papers Co-chairs Geoff Martin and Günther Theile have announced the winning submission. The award will be presented to student author Marko Hiipakka for his insightful work: Modeling of External Ear Acoustics for Insert Headphone Usage.
